Residences in Western Prince William
McLean, VA. [September 13, 2007]. RMJ Development Group (www.rmjdevelopment.com), is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of Madison Crescent (www.madisoncrescent.com), a new mixed-use village offering upscale retail, offices and residences. The public is invited to attend the fun-filled Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, September 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“The Grand Opening Event will highlight the uniqueness and vibrancy of the live, work, play environment that defines Madison Crescent,” said John D. Rhoad, Jr., Managing Principal, RMJ Development Group. “We want people to come out and enjoy Madison Crescent, a premier office, retail and residential community at the gateway to western Prince William County.”
Co-sponsored by RMJ Development Group, Harris Teeter and Miller and Smith, the day will provide a fun and festive atmosphere for the public to explore the new Harris Teeter and other stores opened within the Marketplace, learn about the homes by Miller and Smith and enjoy entertainment and refreshments in Crescent Park. Madison Crescent is located at the intersection of James Madison Highway (Rt. 15) and Lee Highway (Rt. 29) in Gainesville, Virginia.
The pavilion of Crescent Park will serve as the gathering spot for scheduled performances by local musicians. Enjoy complimentary picnic fare while listening to performances by Prince William Sound, a barbershop quartet; the Martinsburg Jazz Orchestra; and Nen Daiko, a Japanese Drumming Troupe.
The Marketplace at Madison Crescent will feature local radio station Mix 107.3 personality Jimmy Alexander and his prize team providing music and prizes. Caricature artist, cotton candy and popcorn machines, face painting, and balloon art and juggling will also be stationed throughout the Marketplace. Dietz and Watson will be providing complimentary sandwich samples in front of Harris Teeter. The Harris Teeter Together in Education (TIE) bus will be in the parking lot with information on the TIE program which provides money to local schools through purchases made with the Harris Teeter VIC card.
The Marketplace at Madison Crescent includes Harris Teeter; Chevy Chase Bank; Starbucks; MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream; Cingular; Subway; Brooklyn Brothers Restaurant; Hair Cuttery; and Marketplace Dry Cleaners. The Marketplace at Madison Crescent includes 124,000 square feet of retail space.
Madison Crescent includes 242,000 square feet of office space, including The Madison Crescent Professional Building which features Prince William Family Medicine; Anytime Fitness; SR Clarke, a corporate recruiting firm; and SunTrust Mortgage. The Madison Crescent Professional Building is a 3-story Class A building featuring 12,000 square feet of retail space on its first floor and a total of 24,000 square feet of office space on two additional floors.
Miller and Smith is building 144 townhomes, 12 live/work residences which feature residential homes above retail, and 60 single family homes. The first residences are expected to be delivered later this year.
Taking its inspiration from the world’s first planned community, the town of Bath in Somersetshire, England, Madison Crescent has been designed with Crescent Park centered in the heart of the community. An arched bridge with water on either side leads from Route 29 into the community creating a sense of arrival with views towards Crescent Park.
“When designing Madison Crescent, we set out to combine rich, traditional architectural details with state-of-the-art building designs that will provide value to both businesses and residents,” adds Rhoad. “Western Prince William County now has a destination offering people a place to enjoy a concert or event in the park, meet friends for a cup of coffee, or find a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch. Soon residents will be able to walk to restaurants and stores, helping to create a pedestrian-friendly, vibrant neighborhood. The Marketplace at Madison Crescent is professionally managed by Community Realty Company, Inc. (CRC) of Greenbelt, Maryland.
